Camiel Becker to Speak on TPS to Employment-Based Green Card Panel
Becker & Lee LLP attorneys Emily Wilson and Camiel Becker will present a training to non-profit attorneys/paralegals and the private immigration bar on how to identify employment-based green card options for TPS recipients. The panel will take place on December 11, 2017 from 12:30 PM to 2 PM PT at Duane Morris in San Francisco.
As news that the Trump Administration’s termination of TPS for Nicaragua and Haiti has emerged, the need for all TPS holders to explore all immigration options has never been greater. A recent 9th Circuit court decision has created a possible pathway for some TPS recipients to obtain green cards through employers. Since many immigration lawyers who represent clients with TPS do not practice employment-based immigration, this CLE is aimed at training advocates on how to screen TPS recipients for potential eligibility for employment-based options. Time is of the essence for many TPS recipients.
The CLE is organized by Becker & Lee LLP, CARECEN of Northern California and AILA NorCal. Registration is free and can be found at this link.
